Muslim Girls Youth Group - Facilitating the Youth, in Becoming the future.
We, at the MCSC Masjid, are starting a Muslim Girls Youth Group for the Muslim Teen Girls of our community.
Our goal is to facilitate a safe haven conducive to encouraging, inspiring, and motivating our Muslim girls to preserve their Islamic identity and develop a strong foundation in Islam and connection with Allah SWT, while combining life adventures, fostering healthy bonds and love for each other, and having fun the halal way. In addition, our objective is also to educate our youth of their civic rights and duties and help them give back to the community by engaging in community services events and projects within the area.
The youth group will run Every Two Weeks (BI-WEEKLY), on Friday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Hillsborough Masjid Insha'Allah.
All Muslim Girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are welcome to join.

Some highlights of what we will cover during these sessions:
1. Discussion based interactive Halaqahs. Topics may vary by age group. Basically discussing the ongoing challenges a Muslim teen girl faces, at different stages of her life, and discussing techniques to successfully overcome those challenges in the light of the Quran and Sunnah. Additionally, discussing inspiring stories of the important women in Islam, to learn tips on how to grow to become a healthy and successful Muslimah.
2. Interactive extra curricular activities such as arts and crafts, organizing fun plays based on important morals we learn from our Deen and much more.
3. Occasional outdoor activities weather permitting (organizing or participating in soup kitchens or other charitable events, going out for coffee/dinner, bowling, camping, picnics and barbecues, any outdoor sports that the girls might be interested in etc...)
To our Muslim teen girls, this will be a night of fun activities, socializing, guidance, and refreshments.
